Strelitzia Nicolai is the name of this intricate-looking yet marvelous plant. It is more commonly known as the Giant Bird of Paradise. Others would call it the giant white, while some would call it the wild banana, which is not wrong given that it is a species of banana-like plants.
The Giant Bird of Paradise can stand anywhere from three to eight feet tall by human standards. It is one of the highest-ranking favorites among houseplants because of its remarkably large-sized foliage. It has amazing shiny leaves that will leave anyone speechless. The leaves are also wide and soothing to touch, though it may not be advisable to touch the plant too often. It is quite an investment on your end to grow a plant like this, but it’s going to be definitely worth it.
