Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinnault

Salma Hayek is open about how smitten she is with her husband of 12 years, François-Henri Pinault. The actress surprised fans by announcing in 2007 that she was engaged and expecting a child. She and her fiancé welcomed their daughter Valentina Paloma in September 2007, and on Valentine’s Day 2009, they married peacefully in Paris.

Pinault’s resume is imposing. He is the CEO of Kering, a luxury retail conglomerate that owns big fashion labels such as Saint Laurent and Gucci. They also run Groupe Artémis, the Pinault family’s investment firm, which owns everything from Château Latour in France to Christie’s, the world’s most well-known auction house. Hayek met her future husband when she was 39 years old, and she admitted that she was worried she’d never find The One.
