Psy | Son of Park Won-Ho and Kim Young-hee

The hit single “Gangnam Style” is the creation of Psy or Park Jae-sang. He is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and rapper. His single has been so popular because of its light and easy-to-remember rhythm. The Yale Book of Quotations even gave it credit as one of the most famous in 2012. Even former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon expressed his interest in working with the rapper to make use of his international reach.

Apart from influence, Psy is also extremely rich, thanks to his parents. His father is the chairman of DI Corporation, a key manufacturer of semiconductor equipment. Kim Young-hee, his mother, also owns a string of restaurants. Psy is, of course, financially stable himself, having earned so much from his music. Despite a short hiatus from music from 2003 to 2005, Psy has managed to accumulate $60 million in the bank. Part of the money came from his post-military service album, Ssajib.
