Enrique Iglesias | Son of Julio Iglesias and Isabel Preysler
Growing up with a superstar singer father named Julio Iglesias, it’s no wonder Enrique Iglesias grew up following in his old man’s footsteps. On the other hand, his mother, Isabel Preysler, is a former television host and journalist. In the mid-1990s, Enrique started his recording career with the Mexican label Fonovisa. It became the best-selling Spanish language act of the decade. The singer then made a crossover to the mainstream English language market at the turn of the millennium, with a multi-album deal under Universal Music Group for $68 million. The Universal Music Latino released his Spanish albums, while his English albums were released by Interscope.
Subsequently, after a decade of partnership with Universal Music Group, Enrique signed with Sony Music in 2015. His Spanish albums were released by Sony Music Latin, and RCA Records released his English albums. With over 70 million records sold globally, Enrique is one of the best-selling Latin music artists. Credits to singing prowess, the A-list celebrity has established himself as a successful singer.
