Dakota Johnson | Daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith
With a minor appearance in the film Crazy in Alabama, Dakota Johnson made her film debut in 1999 at age 10. Dakota’s parents are actor Don Johnson and actress Melanie Griffith. Despite her talented acting lineage, the star-in-the-making was advised not to pursue acting until she graduated from high school. Soon after, Dakota began auditioning in Los Angeles. She landed minor film credits in the 2010 movie The Social Network and eventually secured supporting roles in the comedy film 21 Jump Street, the romantic comedy The Five-Year Engagement, and independent comedy Goat.
In the film series Fifty Shades, her performance earned her a BAFTA Rising Star Award nomination in 2016. Dakota then appeared in the biographical crime movie Black Mass, drama film A Bigger Splash, and romantic comedy movie How to Be Single. In 2018, she landed a lead role for the supernatural horror movie Suspiria. Credit to her acting skills, Dakota has achieved success in her career.
