Sebastián Marroquín | Pablo Escobar’s Son

Many are very familiar with Pablo Escobar, who became notorious for his massive empire. This eventually led to his demise in 1994. With such notoriety, he became an instant celebrity of sorts to many.

With that said, his son Sebastián Marroquín really seemed to have taken the burden and the fame associated with his late father. He was born Juan Pablo Escobar Henao and changed his name to disassociate himself from his father’s activities. He lived nearly all his life outside his native Colombia and remains so today at 44 years old. While he is an architect by trade, he became the representative for the Escobar family, in spite of his distancing. He has given credit for his first-hand accounts of his father’s life. In addition, he has approached many affected families of his father’s empire for reconciliation and forgiveness.
