Before Sarah Jessica Parker met her current husband Matthew Broderick, she has been on a series of romances inside the entertainment industry. One of the ex-boyfriends of the Sex and the City actress was Ironman star Robert Downey, Jr. They met when they were both 18-years-old on the set of the 1984 drama Firstborn. A few weeks after the meeting, the young stars moved in together in Los Angeles. Despite being together for close to eight years, the two parted ways. RDJ admitted that while he loved Parker, he was not fit for her, citing his unhealthy lifestyle.

While Parker moved on and became a superstar following her Carrie Bradshaw portrayal in the hit HBO series, Downey, Jr. also made himself a multi-million star without money loans or any debts in the banks. He also eventually became one of the highest-paid actors of all time. Parker married Broderick in 1991 and has been with him for the past 20 years. The actress and the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star welcomed their three kids in the course of their two-decade union.
