Tennis queen Serena Williams and Reddit bigwig Alexis Ohanian’s romance began by chance. Ohanian knew little about tennis and Williams wasn’t a Reddit user, but it was nevertheless a match made in heaven. From their A-list-filled wedding to their daughter’s birth, the twosome has weathered many storms in life.

The couple first met in 2015 in the most romantic way possible: they stayed at the same hotel in Rome. The tennis pro and the entrepreneur met by chance while having breakfast. Williams invited her future husband to join her and her friends at the table, and the rest is history. They welcomed their baby girl, Alexis Olympia, in 2017, and since then, they have shared a huge degree of love for their growing family. The athlete once said, “marriage is not bliss,” but then added that it could be “if you work at it.”
