Ellen DeGeneres and her soulmate Portia de Rossi broke barriers when they exchanged their “I do’s” in August 2008. Since then, the Hollywood pair have inspired others with their unique love story. The twosome first met in 2000 at a party, but it wasn’t until four years later that they would become more than friends.

In 2005, they publicly announced their relationship and made their red-carpet appearance for the first time as an official couple. During the couple’s 2009 joint interview, de Rossi said she was in love with the talk show host from the very first time she laid eyes on her. The duo has no children, and they reportedly wanted to stay that way. While they thought about having investment planning for a bigger family, they ultimately decided that they don’t want kids of their own. They have many pets, though!
