Kate Winslet got her heart broken before the age of 21, and she had the liberty to deal with a high degree of emotional pain in private. Stephen Tredre, Kate’s first love, would be the man in the picture. They met in London, England, when they were both ambitious actors – she was 15 years old and he was 28. They started dating in July 1991 but split up four years later in August 1995. Despite their split, the two remained close and maintained their friendship.

In 2011, Kate met her third husband, Richard Branson’s nephew Ned RocknRoll or formally known as Edward Smith, while staying on Sir Richard’s Necker Island. Their fateful meeting occurred during the typhoon that decimated Necker Island in 2011, and when the mansion where Kate and her children were staying went up in flames, Ned became the hero who led them to security. Before Ned proposed, the couple had been dating for nearly a year, beginning in September 2011. They got engaged in August 2012 and married on December 5 of that same year.
