Maggie Gyllenhaal

For many, Maggie Gyllenhaal is best known for her appearances in films and TV series such as Donnie Darko, Secretary, The Dark Knight, and The Honourable Woman. Like her younger brother Jake, Maggie has garnered multiple accolades over the years, including two Golden Globes. Gyllenhaal has been together with actor Peter Sarsgaard for nearly two decades. Sarsgaard and Gyllenhaal became romantically involved in 2002, through Jake, who is also Sarsgaard’s friend. Both Gyllenhaal and Sarsgaard are heavily active in theater. They became engaged in April 2006 and on May 2, 2009, tied the knot in a ceremony in Italy.

Since then, they have had two daughters, Ramona and Gloria Ray. In the year of their engagement, Gyllenhaal and Sarsgaard bought a 3,600 square foot townhouse for $1.91 million. The renovations done on the house led to it being featured in Architectural Digest. In 2019, they put up the townhouse for sale for nearly $4.6 million, a return of $2.7 million in investment. The couple has since purchased a new home. It seems like the couple’s relationship would last much longer.
