Dakota Mayi Johnson is best known for playing Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey and its two sequels. Born to Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, Dakota had her screen debut in her stepfather Antonio Banderas’ 1999 film, Crazy in Alabama. She even won Miss Golden Globe and ventured into modeling.

Dakota started her acting career after graduating from high school, signing with William Morris Agency. Her first box-office success came in 2010 in the American biographical drama film, The Social Network. This was followed by films like Beastly and 21 Jump Street. She got her big break in Fifty Shades of Grey. The film went on to become a worldwide smash hit and it gave her international notoriety. She gained even more credits when she reprised her role in the smash sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.
